To Various Future TImes but Not to All is a companion film that captures the closest thing the artist had to a childhood home. It is a reflection on the past, objects, anchors, family, identity and memory. This durational film mirrors Roberts’ own camerawork and eye, where ceding the camera to his own mother resulted in uncanny resemblances, care and attention to once occupied spaces. The film is activated by Roberts’ experience of transcience, and became a poignant and collaborative act of remembering and connection.
