Joshua Roberts is a UK-based multimedia artist whose work drifts through memory, collapse, and epistemic uncertainty. He interrogates the boundaries between truth, fiction, and perception, using sound and visual media to construct resonant spaces. Working from historical residues, broken infrastructures, mass media, and the architectures of belief, his speculative worlds reveal strange agencies and trace the psychopolitical mechanisms through which control is internalized and performed. Central to his work is a question of agency — whether or not we can escape the ghosts of the past. Roberts holds a vocational degree in Music Technology, a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from The Evergreen State College and an MA in Artists Film and Moving Image from Goldsmiths University of London. His moving image and installation works have been exhibited in California at Fishbon and SBcast, as well as in London at APT Gallery, Image Music Text Gallery, hARTslane, and online for Telephone Game.
